CROSS-BORDER CORRIDORS · PROPOSED FUTURE PHASE

A later phase, not part of the initial route

A customer in one market pays local currency to an authorised partner. USDU carries the dollar value to an authorised partner in the destination market. That partner pays the beneficiary in local currency from funds it already holds, then replenishes those funds by redeeming the USDU for US dollars and converting through its own banks.

Cross-border flow: customer pays locally, USDU carries the value, beneficiary is paid
THE FLOW

Five movements, illustrated

1

Price and execution

The rate is quoted and the trade executed on MEX ECN, where permitted. The customer knows the rate before paying.

2

Customer pays locally

Local currency is paid to the authorised partner in the origin market.

3

USDU carries the value

The partner sends USDU from inventory to the partner in the destination market.

4

Beneficiary is paid

After confirmed receipt and completed checks, the destination partner pays from funds it already holds.

5

Funds are replenished

The partner redeems USDU for US dollars and converts through its own banks. Local funds do not replenish themselves.

What would have to be true

  • Permitted use confirmed in writing for this type of transfer
  • An authorised partner appointed at each end, licensed for collection, conversion and payout in its own market
  • Local funds in place at the receiving end before any payment is accepted
  • The responsible MultiBank entity confirmed for each role

What we are not saying

No pricing, timing or saving is quoted, because the cost and timing of the conventional route have not yet been measured. Any comparison will be published only when it can be evidenced.
