CONTROLS AND SAFEGUARDS

Defined limits, with named responsibility at every step

1

Agreed in advance

The amount and the route are agreed before any instruction is issued.

2

Compliance clearance

Screening is completed before release.

3

Confirmation first

Receipt is confirmed before the obligation is treated as discharged.

4

Daily reconciliation

Positions are reconciled between the venue record, the custodian and the chain.

5

Named responsibility

Delays, failed transfers and returns are allocated in the counterparty documentation.

Valuation, where the asset is not value-stable

Where an obligation is settled in an asset whose value moves, the reference price, the time it is taken, the tolerance and the treatment of any difference are agreed before the instruction is issued. This is recorded in the counterparty documentation.

Limits

Any launch would begin with transaction and daily limits set by Treasury and Risk, with a defined review before any increase. Limits would be stated to participating members in their documentation.

Fallback

Existing settlement arrangements remain in place throughout. The USDU route can be suspended without affecting any other obligation, market or service.

WHAT WE DO NOT CLAIM

The limits of our role

MultiBank Exchange does not guarantee the value of any digital asset, and does not act as issuer, custodian or banker to the counterparty. For USDU specifically, it is not the issuer and does not guarantee redemption or availability.
