HOW IT WORKS TODAY

From execution on MultiBank Exchange to delivery in the counterparty’s wallet

1

The pair is agreed

The counterparty tells us the pair it needs. Where both legs are listed on MB.io, we create it and quote it.

2

The trade is executed

Execution takes place on MultiBank Exchange at the agreed price, with liquidity provided by MB.io.

3

The trade is routed

The trade is routed to MB.io for settlement. The counterparty’s relationship remains with MultiBank Exchange.

4

The asset is delivered

MB.io delivers the agreed asset to the counterparty’s whitelisted wallet. BTC if the settlement is in BTC, or any other listed asset.

5

Receipt is confirmed

Delivery is confirmed and reconciled, and the obligation is discharged under the venue rules.

Who the counterparty deals with

MultiBank Exchange is the client-facing relationship throughout: onboarding, pricing, execution and the settlement instruction. MB.io sits behind as the liquidity source and the settlement venue. A counterparty that prefers a direct MB.io relationship may open one, but it is not required.

What is delivered

  • The asset agreed at the point of trade
  • To a wallet whitelisted in advance
  • From a venue licensed by the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority in Dubai
THE PROPOSED USDU ROUTE

Settling an obligation in a UAE-regulated digital dollar

1

The obligation is agreed

The amount owed is established under the existing documentation. The settlement route is chosen in advance, in writing, by the member.

2

Settlement is instructed

The instruction identifies the obligation, the amount and the receiving member.

3

USDU moves

The transfer is executed between segregated wallets at a licensed custodian. Confirmation is a matter of minutes.

4

Receipt and checks

Compliance screening and reconciliation are completed. Only then is the obligation treated as discharged.

5

Hold or redeem

The member holds the USDU for its next settlement, or redeems it with the issuer for US dollars.
